Every child gets a card. Come to your six-month check-up, earn a badge. Six badges and they choose a book from the shelf — not sweets, obviously.
It sounds small. But our attendance rate for six-month recalls is 84%, against a UAE average of about half that — and children who attend regularly need far less treatment by the time they're teenagers.

Waiting room, honestly
There is a slide, a fish tank, and a tablet with headphones. There is also a separate quiet corner with no noise at all, because for some children the slide is the problem, not the solution.
Parent FAQ
The things parents actually ask
My child is terrified. Should I warn them beforehand or not?
Tell them, but keep it short and neutral: “We're going to see someone who counts your teeth.” Avoid the words hurt, pain, needle, drill and brave — even in reassurance, because “it won't hurt” plants the idea that it might. And please don't promise them nothing will happen if something might; the one thing we can't recover from is a child who learns that adults lie in this building.
When should braces start?
Full braces usually go on between 11 and 14, once most adult teeth are through. But the assessment should happen at seven. At that age we can spot crossbites, severe crowding and jaw-growth problems while the bones are still moving — and a small amount of early work then can save two years of treatment and, in some cases, permanent extractions later. The assessment is free and most children who have it need nothing at all.
They're baby teeth — do cavities in them really matter?
Yes, and this is the most common thing we have to gently correct. Baby molars stay until about age twelve — that is a long time to live with an abscess. They also hold the space for the adult teeth behind them; lose one early and the neighbours drift in, which is one of the main reasons children end up needing braces at all. An untreated baby tooth can also damage the developing adult tooth sitting directly above it.
Can I stay in the room?
Always, for a first visit, and for as long as you both want after that. One request, though: let us do the talking. Children read anxiety off their parents instantly, and a well-meant “don't worry, it's nearly over” is often what tips a calm child into panic. Sit where they can see you, and let us handle the narration.
Does insurance cover children's dentistry in the UAE?
Check-ups, fillings and extractions are covered by most family policies. Orthodontics is the exception — it is excluded from the majority of UAE plans, and where it is included there is usually a lifetime cap of around AED 5,000 to 10,000. We check your policy and tell you the exact number before you commit to anything, and everything over AED 3,000 can be spread across up to 24 months at zero interest.
