The dentist your kid asks to go back to

We only treat children and teenagers — so everything here is built for them. Shorter appointments, a chair that reclines slowly, and a rule we never break: nothing happens in your child's mouth until they say they're ready.

The first visit

Four steps, and none of them hurt

The single biggest thing that decides whether a child grows up afraid of dentists is how the first appointment goes. So we spend that whole visit earning their trust — and nothing else.

1

Say hello

No white coats. Your child meets the dentist in the play area first, fully dressed, standing up.

5 minutes
2

Ride the chair

Up, down, and back up again. They control the button. It stops being a medical thing and becomes a toy.

5 minutes
3

Count the teeth

Mirror only, out loud, together. We name every instrument before it comes near them — "tooth counter", "tickle brush".

10 minutes
4

Pick a sticker

Then we talk to you — without your child listening to a list of everything wrong with their mouth.

What we do

Everything, from first tooth to last brace

Check-ups & cleaning

Every six months, plus fluoride varnish and fissure sealants on the back teeth as soon as they come through.

Ages 1–18

Braces & aligners

Metal, ceramic or clear aligners. Coloured elastics changed at every visit, chosen by them — which matters more than you'd think.

Usually ages 11–18

Early assessment

A single ortho check at age seven catches crossbites and crowding while the jaw is still growing — often avoiding extractions later.

From age 7

Knocked-out teeth

Football, scooters, swimming pools. Call us straight away — put the tooth in milk, don't scrub it, and get here within the hour.

Same-day emergency

Anxious & special needs

Double-length appointments, a quiet room, noise-cancelling headphones, and inhalation sedation where it genuinely helps.

Any age

Mouthguards

Custom-made for school sport, in your child's team colours. Far better than the boil-and-bite ones from the mall.

From age 6
Choosing braces

Metal, ceramic or aligners?

All three work. The right choice usually comes down to your teenager's honesty about wearing something they can take out, and your budget. Here is the version nobody markets at you.

Bright Buds Club

Turning check-ups into something they collect

Every child gets a card. Come to your six-month check-up, earn a badge. Six badges and they choose a book from the shelf — not sweets, obviously.

It sounds small. But our attendance rate for six-month recalls is 84%, against a UAE average of about half that — and children who attend regularly need far less treatment by the time they're teenagers.

Parent reviews

From the people in the waiting room

“My son has autism and had never let anyone look in his mouth. It took Bright Buds three visits with no treatment at all before he opened up. On the fourth he had a filling. I cried in the car park.”

“They talked my daughter out of clear aligners and into metal braces because they didn't think she'd wear them 22 hours a day. They were completely right, and it saved us about eight thousand dirhams.”

“My daughter knocked out a front tooth at swimming on a Saturday. They answered the phone, told me exactly what to do with the tooth, and had it re-implanted within forty minutes.”

Waiting room, honestly

There is a slide, a fish tank, and a tablet with headphones. There is also a separate quiet corner with no noise at all, because for some children the slide is the problem, not the solution.

Parent FAQ

The things parents actually ask

My child is terrified. Should I warn them beforehand or not?
Tell them, but keep it short and neutral: “We're going to see someone who counts your teeth.” Avoid the words hurt, pain, needle, drill and brave — even in reassurance, because “it won't hurt” plants the idea that it might. And please don't promise them nothing will happen if something might; the one thing we can't recover from is a child who learns that adults lie in this building.
When should braces start?
Full braces usually go on between 11 and 14, once most adult teeth are through. But the assessment should happen at seven. At that age we can spot crossbites, severe crowding and jaw-growth problems while the bones are still moving — and a small amount of early work then can save two years of treatment and, in some cases, permanent extractions later. The assessment is free and most children who have it need nothing at all.
They're baby teeth — do cavities in them really matter?
Yes, and this is the most common thing we have to gently correct. Baby molars stay until about age twelve — that is a long time to live with an abscess. They also hold the space for the adult teeth behind them; lose one early and the neighbours drift in, which is one of the main reasons children end up needing braces at all. An untreated baby tooth can also damage the developing adult tooth sitting directly above it.
Can I stay in the room?
Always, for a first visit, and for as long as you both want after that. One request, though: let us do the talking. Children read anxiety off their parents instantly, and a well-meant “don't worry, it's nearly over” is often what tips a calm child into panic. Sit where they can see you, and let us handle the narration.
Does insurance cover children's dentistry in the UAE?
Check-ups, fillings and extractions are covered by most family policies. Orthodontics is the exception — it is excluded from the majority of UAE plans, and where it is included there is usually a lifetime cap of around AED 5,000 to 10,000. We check your policy and tell you the exact number before you commit to anything, and everything over AED 3,000 can be spread across up to 24 months at zero interest.
